Dune: Part Two

Excellent movie, exciting from beginning to end. Great cast, very true to the novel and a magnificent follow up to Dune part 1. Awesome cinematography, photography and sound. A real work of art!

Perfect. Although they should have just released 1&2 as a single film. Bugger the length.

Villeneuve's films always travel along the very edge of the line between stylistic masterpiece and hollow style-over-substance - when they work, they are amazing, when they don't work, they are soulless. Dune part 2, just like part 1, demonstrates both sides to the Villeneuve coin. Everything set on Dune is brilliant, with many great dramatic scenes and many great battles. The desert world world-building lives up to that of Herbert, the whole place just looks fantastic, both the scenery and the technology, and the CGI is seamless. However, almost everything to do with the Harkonnen side of the story disappoints. Giedi Prime may be designed with a very stylish aesthetic, but it feels like there's nothing beyond the very obvious 1930's Germany cliché. The actors portraying The Baron and Feyd are still bad fits for their roles and only Rabban is worth watching. A real shame - if he'd got that part right, Dune part 2 would be the perfect sci-fi movie.

The film is really beautiful, the actors are incredible in their roles, it’s a visual and auditory slap. Less well adapted from the book than the first part.

People ask if this is better or worse than part I. I think that's impossible to answer. In a way, they are one movie, one story told over two feature films.

6 word review - Excellent escalation from Part One. Fantastic.

Loved the books when I was a kid, and feel this movie is pretty true to them. Great movie, very entertaining.

A lot of good lore packed into two films. Although slightly more action in the second act, the lead actor failed to show range in terms of emotions, expressions and tone.

This is by far one of my favorite movies ever. Some say the story telling trash, for some reason, but I think its great. Everything about this movie is great.

Horrible. Is a trash movie. This second part is totally unnecessary!
