Monkey Man

I liked it, but there was a lot of blood. I expected it to be more like a superhero movie.

Clunky, with holes and no back story to how the protagonist learned to fight so well. Very flat

Fantastic Action & Violence from a new Director. Stands out from the crowd on many levels. More films need this treatment

No notes to the choreographers for fighting scenes. Incredible.

I didn't get it. It didn't work as an action movie or an art house movie for me. There isn't enough substance to be an art house flick and there wasn't enough action to be a Wal-mart John Wick.

De verdad que a Dev Patel le gustaron mucho las películas de John Wick, excelente película de acción que esta armada en dos bloques y en el intermedio entre esos dos bloques de acción y venganza, el bajón que hay buscando dar un enfoque social a la trama es tal que aburre demasiado y no da mayor propósito al personaje en su búsqueda de venganza. Btw, me hubiese gustado mucho ver más del mono blanco en la secuencia final.

This movie is, at best, an attmept at establishing Dev Patel as the "John WIck" of India's movie/cinema world! Endless fighting, killing, ridiculously superhumsan strength....overlaid upon a ridiculous, incomprehensible, religious cult derived from aspects of Hinduism,Sikhism, Shramana, Bhakti, etc etc or whatever....definitely totaly unknown and, naturally, Foreign to western audiences.

Didn't know what to expect but was blown away. It kinda felt like watching an Indian John Wick 🔥Great to see Sharlto Copley & Patel working together again after Chappie 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿

Dev has a vision as a director that makes the movie heartfelt and gripping. There is no doubt he has always been a talented actor and now i can't wait to see more of him as a director too.

I watched this movie with my friend in the theatres. The movie had some incredible shots and action scenes - many of which made me wince and turn away from the screen. If you aren't keen on gore and action, this might not be the film for you. I still enjoyed the film, but many of the narrative elements and real-life references went over my head.
