Aaron first started voice acting when his cousin invited him to say a few lines in the anime series Fruits Basket, and from there Aaron was able to move on to the series Fullmetal Alchemist. "The whole cast was really great, and we got into the show too, because it's a well written show", answers Aaron, when asked why he thinks he's been successful. As for his future, Aaron is unsure, but does know that "voice acting isn't something that can really be all that you do. You can't really live off of it, so there would be another career that I go into. I'm not sure what yet". Aaron suggests that other kids interested in following in his footsteps should join theatre clubs, but also adds that only a handful of cities in North America really do voice acting, anime, or cartoons, and that it is important to live where the action is.



A misconception about Aaron was that while he did Alphonse Elric his head was in a large bowl. According to a DVD commentary, interview and what Aaron said at Otakon 2007 during a dub Voice Actor's Q and A, he did not wear anything on his head. The 'bowl' was something that was in front of the microphone in order to create the sound of Al being inside the armor.

    Hah, Aaron Dismuke has to be one of my favourite VA's ever, and that includes Seiyuu's, too. I really enjoyed his role as Alphonse, and I think he did Ion Fortuna beautifully. I can't wait to see him at Otakon, it'd be nice to know the answers to some questions.

    Hee... Well Young Akito from Fruits Basket has to be that harshest roll I've heard him do. Ion Fortuna was close in second. And then the ever loveable Alphonse. Al is soo cuddlely with his kitties. *cough* He also plays in Kiddy Grade, Black Cat and Burst Angel... Though I could have sworn he played Hiro too from Fruits Basket. I have to go check.
