Alexander Skarsgård born August 25, 1976, in Stockholm, Sweden. He is a Swedish actor and director. He is the son of Stellan Skarsgård and brother to Gustaf Skarsgård, both also actors. Skarsgård has acted in several Swedish TV series and movies. In 2003 he was nominated for a Guldbagge for male supporting role in "Hundtricket- The Movie". Since 2005, he has decided to take on more mature roles and appeared in the internation productions "Revelations" and "The Last Drop" In 2006 he appeared in Swedish film "Kill Your Darlings" which was shot in the American desert in less than thirty days and was entirely funded by the Swedish. In 2008 he played one of the main characters in the HBO miniseries "Generation Kill" where he plays Sgt. Brad "Iceman" Colbert. The series is about the first recon marine mission to enter Iraq in March 2003, and based on the Evan Wright books "The Killer Elite." Most recently, he can be seen in the HBO series, "True Blood" based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, in which he plays Eric Northman.
