Amber Tamblyn began her career on the soap opera General Hospital with a six year role as Emily Bowen from 1995-2001. In 2002 she starred in the Pilot episode of the revived Twilight Zone.
She found mainstream popularity with her role as Joan Girardi in Joan of Arcadia (2003-2005) which earned her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations in 2004 and she branched out into film roles.
Her first major film role was as Tibby in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants and she also appeared in its sequel. She has also found popularity in the horror genre featuring in The Ring, The Grudge 2, Blackout and Spiral. As well as drama with roles in Stephanie Daley and Normal Adolescent Behavior. She also recently appeared in the now cancelled The Unusuals and in the film Spring Breakdown.
Tamblyn is also a published poet with two self published chap books as well as
two published books.

On September 1st Amber released a new book of poems "Bang Ditto".

Anybody else still angry that CBS cancelled Joan of Arcadia?!?! That show was the best one on TV when those dufuses nixed it. And right before the story was going to get wrapped up. Does anyone know if there is a chance for a mini-series or even a made-for-TV or theatrical release movie to finish the show? If anyone hears, or has heard, anything, would appreciate a shout.
