Benjamin Orr Biography
| Benjamin Orr was born Benjamin Orzechowski September 8th 1949 in Ohio. He was in bands most of his life. In the 60s he became well known in his hometown of Parma, Ohio in a band called THE GRASSHOPPERS that featured Paul Anka. He later became known as BENJAMIN ORR founding father of New Wave co-lead singer to the group THE CARS. Later releasing his own solo lp THE LACE. With he not returning to the stage with THE CARS because of his on going feude with Ric Ocasek he pursued a solo career with his group ORR and BIG PEOPLE until his death from pancreatic cancer in 2000
