Brendan Gleeson mini-bio: After finishing 12th grade, Gleeson spent a few years working with the Dublin Shakespeare Festival and was later accepted to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Upon graduating he returned to Dublin and worked in theater, supplimenting his income as a secondary teacher in drama and english. At the age of 34 Gleeson began auditioning for film roles, and his big break came along side Mel Gibson in the film "Braveheart".
Gleeson was born in Dublin, Ireland. He has said that he was an avid reader as a child. After leaving school, he worked for two years in an office with a health board. He later graduated from University College Dublin. Gleeson then worked for several years as a secondary school teacher in Belcamp College, in North County Dublin.
Gleeson lives in Malahide, Co. Dublin. He and his wife, Mary, have been married since 1982 and have four sons, Domhnall, Fergus, Brían and Rory.
Gleeson is also a very talented fiddle player, with an interest in folklore.

I as just rating some movies, and this guy is in all of them! I had no idea he was in 28 Days Later, Kingdom of Heaven, and Arthur. I love all those movies!

He only stared Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, he was born March 19, 1955 in Ireland!!!!

I so didn't know he was in 28 Days later!!! Also, they have to make him look...darker, for the Harry Potter movies.
