| britney.  Britney Jean Spears was born in McComb, Mississippi but raised in rural Louisiana (Kentwood) on December 2, 1981, to Jamie and Lynne Spears. As a child, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great at gymnastics, winning many local competitions and the like, and as she progressed she moved on to more and more different (eventually national) dance, singing, and gymnastics competitions. At age 8, Britney tried out for "The New Mickey Mouse Club", but was turned down (as well as a young Christina Aguilera) due to her young age, but was told to return a few years later. This directed her to an off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", for a 2-year run as the title character. At age 11, she again tried for "MMC" (as it was commonly known) and this time made it as a mouseketeer along side many stars of today (Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, J.C. Chasez of N*Sync and Ryan Gosling). Her big break, however, came when she was signed as a Jive Recording Artist in the late 90s. With the release of her debut single, "...Baby One More Time" hitting the worldwide No.1 in early 1999, Britney became an international success, selling 13 million copies of her debut album "Baby..." and 9 million (as of July 2001) of her sophomore album, "Oops!...I Did It Again," released in May of 2000. Britney went on to have a relationship with other celebrities such as Kevin Federline and Justin Timberlake, and having two children named Sean Preston and Jayden James. She is arguably the most-talked about celebrity of her generation. |

I have been a fan of Britney since day one and she is the only artist whom I can listen to all her CD's without skipping a single song.
She is very talented, pretty and a very kind person. She is not afraid to show her goofy side on camera and I like how she makes fun of the negative stories that are wrote about her.
People do not seem to understand she is a person and all people make mistakes and learn from them. She has made some bad choices in her life, one being her ex husband but she learned from them and turned them into positive things.
She is most definitely the greatest female singer of this time. She has always put so much work into her songs and performances and gave up her childhood for it. She is also like an energize bunny, she can work work and work and will give up sleep and rest just to spend time with her kids. Her kids are her number 1 priority and a nanny is barely even around, she wants to raise and take care of her kids herself.posted 26 days ago -
