Bruce Boxleitner mini-bio: Bruce Boxleitner is best known for his role on the TV show and made for TV films "Babylon 5". He has also authored two science fiction novels.

He is best known for his leading roles in the television series How the West Was Won, Bring 'Em Back Alive, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and Babylon 5. He also starred in The Gambler trilogy.

In 2005 he co-starred as Captain Martin Duvall in Young Blades. He has also starred in several television films that are part of the Babylon 5 franchise, including Babylon 5: In the Beginning, Babylon 5: Thirdspace, Babylon 5: A Call to Arms and the direct-to-dvd Babylon 5: The Lost Tales.
He has made appearances in many other TV shows, such as The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Gunsmoke, Judith Krantz's Till We Meet Again, Tales from the Crypt, Heroes, Touched by an Angel, The Outer Limits and She Spies, and in 1982 he played Chase Marshall in the TV movie, Bare Essence, with Genie Francis.

He has also recently joined the cast of Heroes for season three, playing New York Governor Robert Malden in two episodes. He also appeared on the television series Chuck as the father of Captain Awesome.
Boxleitner's first marriage was to American actress Kathryn Holcomb (1977-1987) They had two sons together, Sam and Lee

Ex-Wife Kathryn Holcomb introduced him to present wife, Melissa Gilbert. He called off his engagement to Melissa Gilbert twice before they finally made it to the altar.

    I have personally met Bruce at a civil war reenactment, and I have never met a more down to earth person, who is very intelligent, and thoughtful. I made him feel his age, when I mentioned that I used to watch "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" as a child. (I'm 30). Bruce is a warm individual that cares about what is happening in world, and in this country, and will speak his mind on most issues. A firm supportor of the troops, and has a soft side for the men and women in uniform. Bruce and I talked for about five hours on many topics, ranging from family, growing up as children, careers, the civil war. I can call Bruce a friend, not just some actor that I met. Bruce is a good man, a wonderful actor, and someone I call friend.

    I have always enjoyed watching you in television shows and programs since I began watching Scarecrow and Mrs. King. That is when I had gotten to know about you and I have known your co-star, Kate Jackson on television since Charlie's Angels aired in 1976. Your wife, Melissa Gilbert is also one of my favorites and I am wishing you the best with Melissa and your son, Michael. What a special son you have!

    I love Bruce. I wish he was in more stuff (and he didn't have to be a bad guy or a corpse!) I've actually gone out and bought movies I would otherwise have no iterest in simply because he was in them.
