THE ultra high-top fade may be gone, but rapper Kid wants to play again - on a daytime talk show.
Chris Reid, better known as half the hip-hop group Kid 'n Play, is trying to land his own syndicated talk show, a la "The Montel Williams Show," according to the industry trade magazine Broadcasting & Cable.
While producers at Warner Bros., the studio behind the show, declined to comment, "The Chris Reid Show" placed an ad on the Internet classified site, craigslist, seeking "women (ages 18-30) who aspire to be just like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan or Britney Spears."
Reid, 42, who graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, shot to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s and is best remembered for his haircut, an eraser-like flat-top fade that was nearly a foot high.
He and his partner, Christopher Martin, appeared in four movies together, including "House Party," based on their light-hearted alter egos and even played themselves in a short-lived Saturday morning cartoon. - Actor/Actress/Director: Christopher Reid
