Biography: She spent parts of her life on New Zealand and in Europe, especially in London. Claudia Black could be seen in several plays suck as "Spotlight On Women", "Loose Ends", Oscar Wilde's "Portrait Of Do...( read more )rian Gray" and "Pick Ups" at the Belvoir Street Theatre, Jo March in "Little Women" and in "The Worlds Knot" at the Bicentennial Opera. She portrayed Portia in Shakespeare's "Merchant Of Venice" and made a great impression on critics. In 1990 she was a finalist of the Globe Shakespeare Competition. In Australia and on New Zealand Claudia Black became famous by acting in several TV productions. She played a main character in "City Life" and recurring character in "A Country Practice". Guest appearances in the TV series "G. P.", and "Police Rescue", "Seven Deadly Sins", "Good Guys Bad Guys", "Water Rats" and "Beastmaster" made her more famous. In "Hercules - The Legendary Journeys" as well as in "Xena - Warrior Princess" Claudia Black played the amazon warrior Cassandra.

Claudia Black became internationally renown for her part as Aeryn Sun in the science fiction series "Farscape" by Jim Henson Production. For her part as Aeryn Sun, Claudia Black was nominated and won a Saturn Award for Best Actress in 2000. Also in 2000, she made a short appearance in the science fiction thriller Pitch Black as Sharon "Shazza" Montgomery. In 2001 Claudia Black could be seen as Pandora in Queen Of The Damned, a sequel of Interview With a Vampire. Unfortunately, almost all her scenes ended up on the cutting room floor.For the sake of filming the mini-series "Farscape - The Peacekeeper Wars", Claudia Black postponed her honeymoon. She is married since 2004 and spent her two month long honeymoon in Italy. She gave birth to a baby boy in December 2005. She appears pregnant in a story arc of "Stargate SG-1" in late season 9. As of season 10 she is a regular on "Stargate SG-1", being a recurring character in season 9, and with a one episode part in season 8. She is once again co-starring with Ben Browder from her "Farscape" days.

  hey i figure your probably to busy to read these but what the hey it's worth a shot. I think you are a amazing zctor you seem to have a nack for it. But you are also you preety. But I respect the fact that you have a family but you still find the time to act and have a family life i respect that.   you can really tell how great she is of an actress when you compare her two big roles. Aeryn and Vala are so diffrent it's hard to believe it's really claudia.

  She is so amazing. Aeryn and Vala are so different. She had no trouble convincing us that she is no longer Aeryn. She is easily the best actress on TV, and she is so uniquely beautiful.
