At an early age, he began a love of comedy, a love that continued through his education at Harvard University, where he became the president of the Harvard humor magazine, the Harvard Lampoon. After leaving Harvard, Conan found his way into a television, writing for a variety of show, eventually winning an Emmy for his writing on "Saturday Night Live" (1975). Initially offered the position of producer for the late show on NBC, Conan decided to audition for the job himself, and eventually became the host of "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (1993).
