He is a co-owner of Dolce, a restaurant he founded with That '70s Show co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Wilmer Valderrama. Masterson also frequently DJs at Los Angeles night clubs under his name, DJ Donkey Punch. Masterson also co-hosts an extremely popular radio show titled Feel My Heat, on Indie 103.1 in Los Angeles. As co-host of this show, he frequently displays a knack for a Howard Stern-esque sense of humor. He is currently dating actress Bijou Phillips. Masterson is a member of the Church of Scientology, as his parents raised him in the beliefs of Scientology.
