Diana Ross mini-bio: Part of ground breaking girl group The Supremes from late 50's to 1970. After beginning a successful solo career in 1970 starred in Lady Sings The Blues. Nominated for an Academy Award for that movie and went on to win the Golden Globe for playing Billie Holiday in that movie. Went on to star in Mahogany and The Wiz in the later 70's. Then in the 80's & 90s starred in two made-for-tv movies. Out Of Darkness (Golden Globe nominated) and Double Platinum with pop star Brandy.
