Let me try and make this clear! I don't hate Elvis, I'm just not a fan. Soo, as someone who can stand back and view his career without a biased point of view it has been wildly & excrutiatingly clear for a long time now that Elvis Presley is the most overated human being in the history of western civilization, dead or alive!

Some could say he could sing, some say he could dance, some even say that he could act, well there was a lot of ppl who could do that back in the 1950's and they did it BETTER than Elvis ever could! Elvis had something back in then that certain ppl gave a damn about & some still do. He was white, native american heritage (Cherokee) be damned, as most ppl never knew about his real heritage!

He's overated ppl, get over it!

I simply couldn't just pass by this post and not say anything. What is there left to say out there about a man who changed American history forever. He was the pioneer of rock and roll. Sure there were others struggling to make it at the same time, but none of them had the ambition, the drive or the super talent of this one man. He paid the dues for all rockin rollers. He paved the way. There are many impersonators out there that are very good, but it's like saying that a cz is a real diamond. Some people do not like his movies. Watch them again and just look at his acting. Nothing else and you will see the real talent. Now one else could have pulled off those movies but him. I had the chance to meet him 3 times in my life, including and invitation to stay at Graceland for week but they sadly, were near misses. He still lives in my heart and always will.

I was 11 the first time I heard Elvis.His voice was electric and exciting.I was a fan before I ever saw how good looking he was.Once I laid eyes on him,that was it.From then until I was 14 and started dating my first husband,I was madly in love with Elvis.After I fell in love with my husband,I still loved Elvis,but I didn't love him quite the same way.Whenever I was sad or lonely through the years,Elvis was there.All I had to do was put his records on and he was there to comfort me.I was happy for him when he married Priscilla,I even wrote them a letter of congratulations.I received a thank you letter back from Priscilla.Again, I was happy for them when Lisa was born.I felt like Elvis and his family was a part of mine.When he and Priscilla split up,I felt his pain.I wished that I could help him as he had me so many times.I don't think he ever got over losing both his mother and Priscilla.He tried to make a new start,but it wasn't the same.He will always live in my heart.GOD BLESS

I was 9 years old when Elvis went back home to Heaven to be with his mom Gladys. I can still remember the day, the very moment I heard the tragic news that the King had died. I still cry even today when I think about him and what an excellent person he was and still is.
