Fritz Lang mini-bio: The most famous Expressionist filmmaker who made Metropolis and started off film noir with M. Was considered a great German artist by the Nazi Party, and his wife joined. He began to criticize them in his movies, and his mother was Jewish, so the Nazi opinion of him quickly soured and he was forced to flee Germany in 1934. He eventually came to Hollywood and became an naturalized American citizen.
