Garrett Hedlund mini-bio: Born in Roseau, Minnesota, Garrett spent his early years growing up on a farm in a small town. When he was in the ninth grade his family moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he began taking private acting lessons. After graduating high school, he immediately moved to Los Angeles to pursue and acting career. Hedlund modeled for L.L. Bean and Teen Magazine before acting. One month later, he'd landed the role of Achilles' cousin Patroclus in the major motion picture Troy (2004) opposite Brad Pitt. His next feature was Friday Night Lights (2004) starring Billy Bob Thornton, in which Garrett played a high school football player. He then landed a starring role opposite Mark Wahlberg in Four Brothers (2005), playing one of four brothers whose mother is murdered. Participated in ice skating, wrestling, and football in high school. Enjoys hunting and the outdoors. He currently residences in an apartment in LA (which he bought with the money he made from Troy). He enjoys staying at home and cooking pasta. He attended Horizon High School, but graduated a semester early to pursue acting.

Hmm... looks liky Gary hasn't been doin' much lately...oh, sorry, Garrett. Garrett. Wonder if they're actually going to finish the Eldest movie...? Sounds like more trouble than it's worth to me, since if they don't do it WAY better than the last one, the director will end up shot in his sleep. Garrett's part was perfect and well done, however, so no complaints there! Except for the fact that they decided to make Murtagh a dragon-crazy acid-head, but he'll be cooler in Eldest. Right? (he's hardly in Eldest, emily, says the little voice in the back of my head) Of course he is! Murtagh is the best part of Eldest...
