George Clooney biography: Always playing messed up yet entirely endearing bad guys, George Clooney has got the charming villain character down pat. The evidence is all over Ocean’s Eleven (2001), Ocean's Twelve (2004), and Ocean's Thirteen (2007), as well as his latest film Burn After Reading (2008).
But Clooney’s skills aren’t limited to making bad guys look good. In recent years, Clooney has been increasingly involving himself behind the camera in directing and producing opportunities. In 2005, Clooney wrote, directed, and performed in Good Night, and Good Luck which awarded him an Academy Award nomination for Best Director, following his first directing experience for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002.
Though audiences will probably demand that George Clooney stay on screen and not just in the director’s seat, ultimately the talented actor/director/producer thinks that, “Directing is really exciting. In the end, it's more fun to be the painter than the paint.”
George Clooney quote: “It's not about an opening weekend. It's about a career, building a set of films you're proud of. Period.” |
