He was in the original cast of Cole Porter's 1953 Broadway hit "Can-Can" and stayed with the show for more than a year. Known for his sharp wit, Conried was in demand as an actor, panelist and narrator, appearing frequently in television series and movies throughout the 60s and 70s.

    I love him as the voice of Hook/Father in Peter Pan! He really makes me laugh. He's also in Davy Crockett (the one that Disney released as a movie; a complilation of 3 or 4 episodes of the series). He plays the gambler they meet on the riverboat and eventually goes to the Alamo with them. I'm also glad to be the first to comment on him; not every day that opportunity comes along.
