Kuwashima Houko's seiyuu debuting role was the klutzy captain in the hit anime Martian Successor Nadesico. With the popularity of the show, she quickly gain recognition and popularity. Her next role as Filia in Slayers Try only added to her popularity and proved her talent as a seiyuu. Her recent involvement in anime related seiyuu work can be summed up by one word, diverse. She now has a few mature characters under her fast growing list of roles, she's even being cast to a few male roles. For example, Nakahito in Steel Angel Kurumi. Houko has done several opening and ending theme songs to both anime and videogames, plus numerous character image songs. Some of her more famous works include Nadesico's ending theme song "Watashi Rashiku", "Believe" and "Tears of Eden" from the Dancing Blade video game series made by Konami. So far she has released one character best album.
