The Anarchist’s Wife
I have waited ages to see this movie, and finally I had the chance after recieving my DVD from Spain.
There are no English Subtitles available at the moment for the feature, so I had to rely solely on my por knowledge of Spanish… so there will be quite a few things that I might have missed in the movie. So I intend to get a fuller review of the movie when English Subtitles become available!
Synopsis
“The Anarchist’s Wife” is the story of Manuela who is left behind when her husband Justo fights for his ideals against Franco’s Nationalists during the Spanish Civil War. He is deported to a concentration camp, and upon his release, continues the fight against nationalism in the French resistance. Years, pass without a word from him, but his wife never gives up hope of seeing him again. Written by anonymoussourceStarring
Storyline: 5 Stars
It is a beautiful story of love, courage, pain, suffering, but over all: Endurance!
I won’t comment too much on this section as yet, until I am able to get the English Subtitles, because I’m am quite sure there are some beautiful lines that I have missed, that are so beatiful, I think it’ll make me cry!
The story will also be quite interesting for Pan’s Labyrinth fans, as it is set in the same time period, and looks at the whole Franco faction from a different angle… it’s just as if you joined the men in the woods for a day!
Music: 4 Stars
The music is quite beautiful, mixing in wonderfully with the emotions… And I don’t even know the composer, I guess I’ll have to start familiarising myself with his art!
Acting: 5 Stars
You couldn’t get a more beautiful female cast!
Obviously, I am a dedicated fan of Ivana Baquero, but the other ladies in the cast are also amazing, especially Maria Valverde, who is quite beautiful!
Juan Diego Botto is a brilliant actor too, showing emotions so smoothly!

Well, obviously this section is the part that we will be most interested in! And you all know what I’m about to say: SHE WAS AMAZING!!!!!!
Ivana plays a fairly main part as supporting cast, and as a fan, I was quite satisfied with her role!
Ivana show perfect emotion, with her lovely Spanish voice, and just as beautiful, if not MORE beautiful as she was in Pan’s Labyrinth!
Ivana gets to put on some lovely clothes in this movie, and I will endeavor over the coming days to give you a few beautiful screenshots from the movie!
Conclusion
