In 2005, Maunier also sang in Concerto pour Deux Voix (Concerto for Two Voices) with Clémence Saint-Preux. He also played a young miner, Robert, in the 2005 television series Le Cri.

Maunier also lent his voice to the animated film Piccolo, Saxo et Compagnie, a musical adventure starring musical instruments and notes. Maunier is Saxo, a cheeky character that loves improvisation and helps Piccolo on a wild adventure.

His next feature film, Le Grand Meaulnes, will open in theaters in France on October 4, 2006. He stars opposite Clémence Poésy and Nicolas Duvauchelle. Jean-Baptiste will embody the role of François Seurel, also the narrator of the story. The story details the adventures of François and his friend Augustin Meaulnes (Duvauchelle).

Currently, Maunier is filming his latest movie Hellphone, which is slated for release in 2007. In Hellphone, a teenaged boy Sid (Maunier) is controlled by his possessed cellphone and gets trapped in several interesting predicaments, such as the seduction of a pretty girl at his school.

Though Jean-Baptiste has not completely abandoned singing, it is clear that his vocal career on hiatus for now. He still sings with Les Enfoirés, a chorus of the biggest stars in France that periodically performs benefit concerts.

    jean-baptiste maunier is my idol for singing. he and his voice alike are amazing. it would be amazing to meet him too... i say for him...puberty should never come so he doesnt get that voice taken away from him. at the moment im listening to the les choristes cd. hahaha.
