Jean-Pierre Jeunet mini-bio: Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a self-taught director who started out
making commercials and shortfilms. In 1991 he made his first full-lenght
film with his friend Marc Caro; "Delicatessen". The film became an huge
sucess and won several Céasars. Jeunet made one more film with Caro, "City
of the lost children" also an huge sucess for them both. Jeuent has since
made three more films and is currently working on his fourth.
Oh Jean-Pierre Jeunet there's so many things to say about him, he is a genius of cinema, self-tought...who attributes as much importance to the form and image of the film than to the story..his movies are incredible, colorful and graceful the actors and actresses he chooses are expectacular. his worlds are so fantastical but at the same time, so human. From Delicatessen to A very long engagement Jeunet (and his team of course) had created a style, a signature that anyone can reconize, this is grandeur! he is one of my favorite directors..by far
