Jonah Hill was born on December 20, 1983 in Mill Valley, California. Jonah studied acting at New School University. He also attended the University at Colorado for one semester as a freshman after having left New School University.

While in College, Jonah began writing his own scripts and plays. He was friends with Dustin Hoffman's children Rebecca and Jake. They introduced him to their father. Dustin gave him a small role in his film "I Heart Huckabees". This was Jonah's first film role. Soon after, he made a small appearance in Judd Apatow's film "The 40 year old Virgin". That lead to a bigger role in Judd Apatow's film "Knocked Up", and "Superbad". He also played the "RA Guy" on the first season of the Oxygen Network sitcom "Campus Ladies".

Some of his other film roles include: Accepted, Grandma's Boy, Walk Hard, Strange Wilderness, Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Just add Water.
