I love Judi Dench their is no other actress that I would rather meet in person than her. I think she is Number 1 in the acting category she can do any scene andy character and become that person so believable you almost forget who is playing the role.

I was on holiday in England this summer (2009) and I just happened to be in Lacock when the Christmas Special of Cranford was being filmed. On my very first day I got a really good shot of Dame Judi Dench walking over to the set. I met some of the other cast but it would have made my 40th birthday really special if I had met Dame Judi.
She is such a talented Dame excuse the pun & I wish her health & happiness.

Something about the English actors, that most American, not all, are missing. Dame Judi Dench, like Sir Anthony Hopkins, commands the screen in whatever role she appears in. It's the classic training I think that English actors are required to have that gives that edge, depth and power that also shines so brightly in one of my other favorite actors Cate Blanchett whom I feel will be able to be a brilliant chameleon as Dame Judi Dench is.
