Julia RobertsJulia Roberts biography:
Acting seems to be in Julia Roberts’ blood with parents who met on-stage. Since her 1988 film debut in the film Blood Red, Roberts has steadily crafted her acting skills to become one of the most well-known actresses in Hollywood.

Audiences were captured by Julia Roberts’ well-played role in Steel Magnolias (1989), which won her her first major award—a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. She would acquire another Golden Globe, this time for Best Actress, for her winning performance in the classic romantic movie, Pretty Woman (1990). Julia Roberts would go on to play numerous roles in dramas like The Pelican Brief (1993) and Michael Collins (1996), and Stepmom (1998), romantic comedies such as My Best Friend’s Wedding (1997) and Notting Hill (1999), and box-office big hits like Ocean’s Eleven (2001) and Charlie Wilson’s War (2007).

Her biggest role, however, was that of Erin Brockovich in the 2000 Steven Soderbergh film Erin Brockovich. Julia Roberts’ portrayal of real-life Brockovich won her an Academy Award for Best Actress as well as a Golden Globe and the Screen Actors Guild Award that year.

Julia Roberts quote:
“I'm just a girl from a little town in Georgia who had this giant, absurd dream.”
