Gave a powerful performance in "The Note" with minimal screen time as Christine, both the belatedly realized subject of the note and the adoptee reunited with her birthmother, whose investigative journalism begins the process that brings her to her daughter during a scene in which Boland perfectly captures the all-too-real longing of a child (in this case with both parents recently deceased) to discover her roots while simutaneously honoring the contribution made by her adoptive parents to raise her. She handles the scene where this unfolds with a surprising level of maturity and grace.
