Replace this image with an actor photoKim Director mini-bio: Kim Director was born on November 13, 1977, in Florida, and later moved to Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania represented the start of her performing career, as she attended Carnegie Mellon University and piled up a solid set of theater credits that include roles in Landscape of the Body, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, The Sweepers, Spell #7, and Into the Woods. She also moved on to perform in Avenue X at the Pittsburgh City Theatre, Bad Boy Johnny & The Prophets of Doom at the American Globe Theater, and Company at the Kennedy Center Sondheim Celebration.

This work set her on a path for success, and it wasn’t long before she landed her first film role in Spike Lee’s He Got Game in 1998. This began a mini love affair with Lee’s movies, as she secured gigs in each of the acclaimed director’s next two films: Summer of Sam (1999) and Bamboozled (2000). Immediately following these career-enhancing jobs, she landed her biggest role as Kim Diamond in Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2. In preparation for her role as the quintessential Goth girl Kim and her colleagues spent countless nights watching horror films, but she went a step further and ventured out to Goth clubs to see if she’d fit in.

Kim Director has managed to stay active in the years since her breakout in 2000. She finds work on a consistent basis, be it on the big screen or on TV. She has landed roles in Tony ‘n’ Tina’s Wedding (2004), She Hate Me (2004), Charlie’s Party (2005), Live Free or Die (2006), and she played Stevie in Inside Man (2006), which featured Hollywood legends Denzel Washington and Jodie Foster.

Between her film gigs, Kim has made her presence known in many popular TV shows. She has appeared in episodes of Law & Order, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Sex and the City, and she scored a significant role in CSI: Miami. Her career track undeniably states that we’re going to see a lot more of Kim Director’s talent and piercing eyes. Not exactly a bad deal for the viewer.

Despite her diverse portfolio, Kim Director is perhaps best known for the character Kim Diamond in Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 (2000) and her multiple TV appearances on shows like Law & Order, Sex and the City and CSI: Miami. There’s a reason why she has landed so many jobs in both film and TV -- she tends to make every role her very own.

We like anyone we can instantly recognize, and Kim is recognizable regardless of the environment. She also has the ability to infuse a certain amount of charisma and intensity into every gig. So whether she’s the Goth chick in Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 or the classy, striking beauty we often see on TV, we know Kim when we see her. This dark-haired actress’ wondrous blue eyes and stunning figure always help to jog our memory as well.

Kim visited Goth clubs while doing research for her role in Blair Witch 2 and in the process she was offered a job as a fetish model at a Goth festival.
