Kirsten Dunst has performed in a variety of film genres, dabbling in a wide range of roles from the likes of a high school cheerleading captain the teen hit Bring it On (2000) to an intriguing young Southern woman in Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown (2005), to the iconic Mary Jane Watson in the big-budget Spider-Man movies (2002, 2004, 2007).

Her introduction to the film industry began early on in Kirsten's life, however, with her first role in Oedipus Wrecks, a short film directed by Woody Allen in 1989. She would go on to play a convincing Amy March in the 1994 film version of the beloved Louisa May Alcott novel, Little Women. Kirsten's performance in Interview with a Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) as Claudia, a young vampire, would expedite her into Hollywood's elite and into the slew of movies she's participated in over the last 14 years.

One such movie was Sofia Coppola's film adaptation of The Virgin Suicides (1999). As one of the Lisbon sisters, Lux, Dunst gave a haunting performance that would slowly move her away from child-actor parts to move challenging adult roles. Since then, Kirsten Dunst has also graced films such as Mona Lisa Smile (2003) with the likes of Julia Roberts, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Julia Stiles, Wimbledon (2004) with Paul Bettany, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) with Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet.

Kirsten Dunst quote:
“I love what I do and I don't want to stop - This is all I've ever wanted.”
"Everybody smokes! Models, actresses, everyone! Don't they realize that it's gross? I understand it's an addiction, but it still pains me to see my friends do it. "
