Despite the acclaim Kurt was receiving in his home state, he felt a move to Los Angeles in 2001 was necessary. Even as he packed his bags, work continued to come his way, including a national commercial for Best Buy and a supporting role in the Tim Allen film, Joe Somebody.

Upon arriving in LA, Kurt immediately went to work amassing quite an impressive resume. Film credits include the lead in Should (which he also produced) Spill, Enlighten, Hot Java (which one numerous film festival awards) as well as roles in the soon to be released DreamWorks film, Disturbia, starring Shia Labeouf and the latest film in the Die Hard series, Live Free or Die Hard. On Television, Kurt is best known as "Tator Junior" on Comedy Central's cult favorite, Reno 911, as well as roles on Gilmore Girls and the Golden Globe winner Ugly Betty. Commercially Kurt has worked with some of the biggest client's in the advertising world including Ford, Bud Light, Verizon, Nintendo, Sprint, Del Taco, and Nestlé's. His face and personality have helped sell millions of products for these companies.

Kurt is also an active company member with both Parson's Nose Productions, which brings classical theatre to Elementary Schools throughout Los Angeles and Pasadena, and Theatre Neo for which he also serves on the Board of Directors.

As a producer, Kurt has begun to receive recognition for his skills at developing projects and seeing them to fruition. He has produced the pilot presentation of Scott Sedita's Comedy Competition and plays such as Looking for Normal 2006 saw Kurt form Should Entertainment, a film and television production company. He produced and starred in the company's first film, Should, which will be hitting film festivals worldwide in 2007.

Also an accomplished vocalist, Kurt helped found the professional a cappella group Cantus (www.cantusonline.org) and toured with them for four years. During his time with Cantus, the group recorded three critically acclaimed CDs and toured most of the central and eastern United States.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Music and Theatre from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota and currently studies with Stuart Roger's Studios in Los Angeles.
