Law, The X-Files, NYPD Blue, Law and Order: SVU and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In his final moments, when his chestburster is about to explode, he pulls Wren's head over his chest so that when the chestburster emerges, it erupts through Wren's head and kills him too. He also appeared in Saving Private Ryan as the pilot of the crashed glider.

Orser appeared in various parts in the Star Trek franchise, among them playing a Changeling posing as the Romulan Colonel Lovok in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine two-parter episode " Improbable Cause" / "The Die is Cast", and a homicidal hologram in the Star Trek Voyager episode "Revulsion". Since 2004, he has played Chief of Surgery Dr. Lucien Dubenko, a recurring character on the television show ER.
