Hercules and Xena - The Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus (voice)

Character Back Story:
Xena and her family originate from the village of Amphipolis, on the border of East Macedonia and Thrace, Greece. The only daughter of Atrius and Cyrene, her father left when Xena was very young, leaving Cyrene to raise her alone, along with her elder brother Toris and younger brother Lyceus. Cyrene supported the family by opening a tavern.

While Xena was still in her teens, Amphipolis was attacked by the warlord Cortese. While her elder brother Toris tried to persuade the villagers to run to the hills and hide, Xena and younger brother Lyceus persuaded some to take a stand and fight. They managed to drive off Cortese's army but Lyceus was killed in the process.

Xena then formed an army with the men from her village and started conquering surrounding settlements, to ensure another attack from Cortese and other warlords would never occur. As her army and reputation grew, Xena lost herself, giving in to her dark side and fighting only for her love of power and bloodlust. She and her army mercilessly raided, pillaged, burned, tortured and slaughtered countless villages, and she is even responsible for wiping out entire races and tribes during her reign. Along the way she learned her lethal combat skills, including the infamous 'pinch'. She became truly evil, a warlord, a pirate and ultimately The Destroyer of Nations.

When we first meet Xena she has turned over a new leaf (after meeting Hercules). It is not until Xena meets Gabrielle in the clearing outside Potadeia that she genuinely begins to understand true friendship and love. Now, Xena is fighting for redemption, but knows she doesn't deserve it and will never achieve it, as nothing will erase her evil deeds. She knows all she can do is good in the here and now, on a daily basis, to try and make amends for the destruction she caused. Doing it all for 'the greater good'.
Inspiration for character:
Xena is a fictional character created by Robert Tapert and John Schulian. Originally meant soley for the show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena was supposed to die at the end of the episode 'Unchained Heart', but when the studio said they wanted to make a spin off, Rob said Xena was the best choice.

Lucy modelled Xena on Argentinian tennis player Gabriela Sabatini.
LL: " I modelled Xena on her. She's how a warrior princess ought to look."
Age: Judging by Lucy's age, Xena is 27 in the first series and dies at age 33 (if you don't count the 25 years of sleeping)
