He has attended Kenwood Academy, The University of Kansas and Juilliard School of Drama, and won a Tony award for his role as Che in Evita on Broadway in 1979. He is recongnized in television for his roles on Chicago hope, Showtime's Dead Like Me, and the CBS' new crime drama Criminal Minds. Aa musician, Mandy has released five solo albums singing in both English and Yiddish, and has profound involvement in a variety of Jewish causes and cultural activities. He is married to actress Kathryn Grody and has 2 sons, Issac and Gideon.
