I was "backwards" compared to you. I lived in California (Long Beach) as a kid and wanted to get back to my mom in Texas. At first I hated Texas--everything was so flat. But now, I don't think I'll ever be able to leave!

I don't know how you got the Texas Hill Country out of your bones. We have three houses on 17 acres north of Leakey (off of Hwy 336). I love the main house on the side of the hill overlooking the valley and the Frio River. I've been all over the world, and I think this is my favorite place.

well...i drive truck from Lexington NC to Loredo Tx, and sometimes go to California from Loredo. I got stopped and searched by state, local, and DOT in Uvalde Tx.!!!!

I still remember seeing him in one of the old Unsolved Mysteries episodes..He was doing a re-inactment of someone being killed LOL
