Brooks got his start in entertainment as a stand up comic, then moved to writing for TV, and then to screen plays, directing, and producing.

Mel Brooks has such an ingenious mind for comedy. I can't think of any other comic director who has through at least three generations of an audience and win there laughs. Kudos to you Mel Brooks!
