Michael Crawford mini-bio: Michael Crawford (born Michael Patrick Dumbell-Smith) is a Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning stage and film actor and singer. Although he had starred in films since , he became famous to millions for his role as the hapless Frank Spencer in the British television sitcom "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" (1973-78). He gained worldwide fame after starring in stage musicals such as "Barnum," "The Phantom of the Opera," and "The Woman in White," and has had a prolific recording career.

I have listened his Micheal as the Phantom ever sense I was little! (silly me thought he might be related to Joan Crawford, Guess not!)

I was very fortunate to see Michael Crawford as The Phantom, twice while he was performing in L.A. in 1991. In my mind he is the best actor for this role and the most talented. Best money I ever spent and I didn't have much. I couldn't listen to the radio for days after, the music and songs from the Phantom were in my head for months!
