Michael Landon mini-bio: The youngest of two children, Michael Landon was born Eugene Maurice Orowitz. He excelled at track and field in high school but an injury prevented him from continuing at UCLA, where he went to college. One of his first big roles was as Tony Rivers in "I Was a Teenage Werewolf", though perhaps he is best known for his television work- including "Bonanza", "Little House on the Prairie", and "Highway to Heaven". He passed away in 1991.
