Misha Dmitri Tippens Krushnic (August 20, 1974) is an American actor.
He played Paul Bernardo in the 2006 film, Karla.
He also played the villain, Alexis Drazen, in season 1 of the television series 24, and a friend to the Charmed Ones in the Charmed episode They're Everywhere.
In 2008, he joined the cast of the CW series Supernatural as the character Castiel, an angel sent to Earth by God to release the series lead character Dean from hell to fulfill a job. Misha will continue to appear as the character Castiel in the fifth season, as a series regular.
Also an intern for Bill Clinton "when the position was still respectable", as stated in an interview on KTLA, Misha left his dream of politics to become an actor. Misha was married in 2002 to his high school sweetheart, Victoria Vantoch, who is a writer.
He is a published poet. Two of his poems; "Baby Pants" and "Old Bones", can be found in the 2008 edition of the Columbia Poetry Review #21.
Spent time at a monastery in Nepal. Still practices Buddhist meditation and goes on a 10 day retreat once a year.
Started his own software company.
Built his own home, and almost all the furniture in it, save for a couple chairs on the deck.
Worked as a carpenter to put himself through college.
Went to University of Chicago and studied Social Theory.
Read Revelation as preparation for role as Castiel.
House burned down when he was in high school.
Mother went to Russia when she was in college. She had a boyfriend at the time named Misha and she named Misha after him.
