So-ri Moon mini-bio: This is a Korean name; the family name is Moon.
So-ri (born on July 2, 1974) is a South Korean actress.
Moon's first major film roles came in Lee Chang-dong's Peppermint Candy and Oasis, both played opposite Sol Kyung-gu. Her role in Oasis garnered praise and critical acclaim (including the Marcello Mastroianni Award as best new actress at the 2002 Venice Film Festival) for her meticulous and moving portrayal of a woman with cerebral palsy. She followed up this award-winning performance by playing a housewife who has an affair with a teenage boy in Im Sang-soo's critically-acclaimed A Good Lawyer's Wife. This won her Best Actress at the Grand Bell Awards in 2004. Since then, she has held leading roles as the Song Kang-ho's wife in The President's Barber, as an emotionally damaged woman in Sa-kwa and as a sexually promiscuous professor in Bewitching Attraction.
On December 24, 2006 she married the Korean filmmaker Jang Jun-hwan, director of Save the Green Planet! (2003).
