NATALIE PORTMAN

Born as Natalie Hershlag on June 9, 1981, Natalie Portman has had quite the career as an actress. She's garned many movie roles, including the movies Star Wars (the most recent three), The Other Boleyn Girl, and V for Vendetta. Natalie has even gone as far as shaving her head for a role.

Natalie was born in Jerusalem, Israel. Her father is Avner Herslag, and her mother is Shelley Stevens. Her paternal grandfather's parents died at Auschwitz, and her great grandmother worked as a spy for the British during World War II.

She moved to the states with her parents when she was three, residing in Washington, DC.

Although she says her family was never religious, she did attend a Jewish elementary school.

In addition to being bilingual in Hebrew, Natalie's also studied French, Japanese, German, and Arabic.

She graduated from Harvard University with a BA degree in psychology.

Natalie has also been a vegetarian since childhood and is an advocate for animal rights. She does not eat any animal products, nor does she wear fur, feathers or leather.

My son loves The proffesional, he said that natalie was a very brave girl.. and funny when she was dressing up..lol I my self loved the movie, now that she's older, maybe they could do a second movie of the profesional... hmm she could be a proffesional sort of say... something that follows the movie i guess...
