 Persia White mini-bio: Persia White was born on October 25, 1972, in Miamu, Florida, but was raused in the Bahamas. Her first major Role was of Denise Williams in the shoe "Breaker High" in 1997. She also played Lynn Searcy in the sitcom "Girlfriends." Exotic-looking performer Persia White-- a multi-hyphernate who straddles roles as an actress, singer, songwriter, musician, and film producer-- began life in 1976, ensconced by semi-impoverished trappings, but delivered herself into a successful career as an artist via raw talent and determination. White debuted on television in 1996, with a role on NYPD Blue, segued into telemovies under the aegis of Robert Allan Ackerman with the same year's prime-time feature drama Suddenly (starring Kirstie Alley), and appeared in Charles Band's quirky 1999 horror picture Blood Dolls. Meanwhile, White co-authored songs with such notables as Jane Wiedlin of the Go-Go's and Gary Wallis of Pink Floyd, and formed her own indie rock band, XEO3. | VITAL STATS | Persia White Information:

I was in my 20s. I had it placed on my spine opposite a chakra point. It represents my life’s journey; moving forward. I have lost work over my tattoos! However, I knew the risks of being inked, especially as a woman in Hollywood, and I was willing to live with them. At the same time, the writers for Girlfriends have worked my tattoos into the script. I play an edgy character, so it works. Every season the writers ask to see my new tattoos. They have also blurred the lines a bit between the real me and my character–she’s a vegan and I’m a vegan. It’s pretty cool! As a celebrity with tattoos, I’m promoting tattoos–like it or not.
