Prince mini-bio: Widely regarded as one of the most gifted musicans of his generation, Prince Rogers Nelson was born at Mount Sinaii Hospital, Minneapolis on June 7, 1958 to John L. Nelson & Mattie Shaw. Quickly establishing himself as a musical genius Prince released a series of challenging and genre-bending albums throughout his career, constantly pushing the boundaries with the release of each new record. Also a sometimes-actor Prince has starred in three feature films, one of which the semi-biographical rock flick 'Purple Rain', which one him an oscar for best original music score.

Prince Croke Park gig cancelled

Prince pulled out of his Irish concert
Tens of thousands of Prince fans has been left disappointed with many of them out of pocket after the US rock legend pulled out of his Irish gig.
The unpredictable musician gave no excuse for cancelling the near sell-out show due to take place on Monday at Croke Park in Dublin.
Fans were due to arrive from abroad at Prince's only European date this summer.
Two performances in Paris and Milan were also cancelled last month.
Many of the fans preparing for what was expected to be one of the highlights of this year's music calendar will lose money having booked flights, trains and accommodation.
Promoters MCD, who were granted a licence for the concert less than three weeks ago, said the show was cancelled for reasons beyond the control of both Prince and themselves.

I know that he is the most talented perfomer and and actor. I've been a Prince fan for over 28 year's. I wish I could've seen him or met him in concert.
