Rachel McAdamsRachel McAdams biography: Rachel Anne McAdams was born on October 7, 1956 in London, Ontario Canada to Lance and Sandy. She was raised in St. Thomas, Ontario. She competed in figure skating at the young age of 4 and by age 13 she was performing in Shakespearean productions in her summer theater camp. She attended the Original Kids Theatre Company in London, Ontario.

Rachel intended to apply to college to study cultural studies but her drama teacher encouraged her to auditor to be a drama major. She majored in theater at York University in Toronto and graduated with a B.F.A. degree and honors.

Rachel's professional acting career began on-screen with an appearance in "The Famous Jett Jackson" Disney series, which was follow by a pilot for MTV. Her biggest hits on-screen were in "Mean Girls" (2004) and "The Notebook" (2004).

Rachel's is environmentally conscious. She is the Co-founder of www.greenissexy.org. This is a website dedicated to help raise awareness about the environment. As part of her contribution, she does not own a car; she either rides her bike or takes the bus.
