Radha Mitchell biography: Radha Mitchell was born in Melbourne Australia in 1973 and began her career on the television show Sugar and Spice in 1988. She continued with a 3 year stint on Neighbours in which she played two seperate characters. She moved to L.A in 1997 and starred in the films High Art and Everything Put Together in the same year which both recieved Independent Spirit Awards. She first gained recognition with her roles in Finding Neverland (2004) and Melinda and Melinda (2004). After these successes she stared in Mozart and the Whale (2005) along side Josh Hartnett as well as the video game adaption Silent Hill (2006). More recently she can be seen on DVD in The Children of Huang Shi (2008) and Henry Poole Is Here(2008). Surrogates (2009) sees her share screen time with Bruce Willis in big budget, Science Fiction style. Independent film The Waiting City (2009) which details a young Australians couple to adopt an Indian baby has also had a limited release recently. premiering at the Toronto Film Festival. These two releases perfectly illustrate the split between Independent and big-budget film that Radha has come to juggle quite successfully.
