Raquel Welch virtually "owned" the late 1960s and the 1970s as the hottest bod in films, with a classic face to match. She worked steadily rather than spottily and was always a major box office draw. Producers knew "The Bod" would sell some tickets and she did. She burst upon the movie scene in "One Million Years B.C." (see poster photo)in a skimpy fur bikini that showed all the good stuff to great advantage. A Ray Harryhausen dinosaur flick, Raq (or is that "rack"?) played Good Cave Girl to Martine ("From Russia With Love"/"Thunderball")Beswick's Bad Cave Girl. Though she could have played Wonder Woman easily (since she IS one), that film role never came up in Raquel's prime. She did, though, score as a bikini-clad skydiving secret agent in "Fathom" and co=starred in the very popular Sci-Fi hit "Fantastic Voyage". Plenty of films followed in a solid career.Just this past week Raq
