Roger E. Mosley was fondly known for playing the sidekick opposite Tom Selleck on the classic 1980's television series "Mangum P.I."
That series also starred John Hillerman.

Mosley starred in a lot of blaxploitation films during the 1970's including "The Mack",
"Sweet Jesus,Preacher Man",and "Bucktown",not to mention the "The River Niger",and the television movie adaptation of Maya Angelou's
"I Know Why The Cage Bird Sings".
