One of his earliest I ever saw was Pulp Fiction, though I might have seen him in a movie before that; but from then I was hooked. Later on with Jackie Brown; I just couldnt stop loving the Pulp Avenging Angel.

George Lucas* had to cut a deal with Samuel L. Jackson to star in Star Wars ffs...he demanded a purple lightsaber.
Up to then all the Jedi lightsabers were green or blue (check the original trilogy, and don't harp on my age cuz I saw all of them in the theaters) and the prerelease action figure for Star Wars Episode 2 had him with a blue lightsaber.
But Samuel L. Jackson wanted a purple one.
George Lucas caving in to my man Samuel L.'s demand rather recreated the whole Star Wars universe...now that's clout.
And he's played wonderfully in every movie I saw him in, and so I think George Lucas did make the right decision...Samuel L. is the MAN!
