Samuel West mini-bio: Born to parents Timothy West and Prunella Scales it is little suprise that Samuel
came to the acting business. During his younger years he frequented the set of
Faulty Towers.
He attended Oxford, graduating in 1988 with a BA honours in English Literature.
He has performed in many produtions on TV, stage and screen. Notable performances
include Prince Caspian in Prince Caspian and the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader,"
Leonard Bast in "Howard's End," Young Maurice in "Iris" (his father played older
Maurice), the infamous Anthony Blunt in "Cambridge Spies" and his award winning
portrayal of Hamlet in the 2001 Royal Shakespeare Company's production.
Samuel is now working as the artistic director on the Sheffield Theatres.
