Vincent Cassel was born Vincent Crochon on 23rd November 1966, in Paris, France. He is the son of a Leading French Actor Father Jean-Pierre Cassel and a Journalist Mother Sabine Litique. His half brother is the leader of legendary French Rap Group "Assassin" his Sister is also an Actress. His parents divorced in 1980.

Vincent Cassel is a famous French Actor known for his tough guy roles, who has become a star of European Cinema. His breakthrough role was in Mathieu Kassovitz's critically acclaimed film "La Haine" where he played a troubled youth from the decrepit outskirts of Paris. Cassel has gone on to act in a variety of films such as the moody L'Appartement, the violent Dobermann, genre-bending "Le Pacte des Loups" and in the highly controversial "Irreversible". Cassel has also acted in a few English language films, such as "Ocean's 12", "Derailed", "Birthday Girl", "The Messenger" etc, with his English language debut in "Elizebeth".

Cassel has also been the voice for many of the French versions of Hugh Grant films, plus he was the voice of Diego in the French version of "Ice Age" (2002).

He married Italian Actress Monica Bellucci in 1999, with whom he has a daughter Deva Cassel, born 12th September 2004, in Rome, Italy. Vincent lives in Paris for Professional reasons, whilst Monica lives mostly in London and to date have appeared in 10 films together.

In October 2008, L'oreal signed Cassel to be the face of a new Yves Saint Laurent Men's Fragrance called "La Nuit de L'Homme".

Vincent Cassel is one of the best actors I know! It's very sad that he hasn't a real breakout in America yet. I hope he will in a few years! I like his role as the villain in "Le Pacte des Loups" and his role as a French youngster in "La Haine". That's real talent!!!

Vincent is one of the most talented actors of his generation. Not only that, he made some very good choices of movies and is also a very intelligent guy, there's a reason for all the movies in his filmography, he doesn' t talk only about himself in his interviews....I wish there were more actors like him. Besides that, he is smoking hot!!!
