Vivien Leigh Tour
with Make Believe The Musical & Henley on Thames
For those of you who didn’t already know, Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh began their love affair at Ivan Novello’s house in Maidenhead, Berkshire. This property is now home to Redroofs Theatre School where Oscar winner Kate Winslet, another English rose, was trained. Kate began her acting career at the Kenton Theatre in Henley on Thames, a stunning riverside town only 40 minutes from London Heathrow. This summer, the Kenton is hosting the premier of Make Believe the Musical, written by James Hall, a West End composer and writer. Make Believe the Musical is a mysterious and magical family musical in which Cassandra, the lead role, has Vivien Leigh as her idol.
To coincide with the 70th Anniversary of Gone with the Wind and the launch of Make Believe The Musical, Make Believe Holidays has put together a fantastic luxury Vivien Leigh tour for all those discerning fans out there. Come and stay in an English Feudal Castle or an Urban Chic Hotel and experience the beautiful landscape where your favourite actress spent many years. Along with seeing the locations associated with Vivien Leigh, you will also get to enjoy a backstage tour and tickets to a performance at The National Theatre, formerly known as the Old Vic. It was there that she met Laurence Oliver, appearing with him on-stage as Ophelia in Hamlet and Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Laurence Olivier was also the first director of the National Theatre.

Vivien was an amazing actress. She could draw you in and never lose your interest:)
She loved the Theater first and foremost but she won 2 best actress oscars even though she didn't star in too many films.
She was Scarlett O'Hara(as she also craved attention) and she was also Blanche DuBois(she had a nervous breakdown ,complications from TB)
She loved her fans also as she was always ready to sign an autograph:)
She would even carry her own pen where ever she went.
She always made sure she signed her name perfectly:)posted 248 days ago -
